About me
I am Kimberly Mort, a mother, experienced & professional postpartum doula (DONA), and lactation coach in Lubbock, TX. I have been helping women thrive in postpartum for over 10 years. I am also a lactation coach & IBCLC in training. I am blessed to have 2 wonderful children who I nursed for just over 7 years total.
After they were born I struggled horribly to find my way as a mother. Breastfeeding was incredibly challenging and I spent many nights on the floor crying because of the pain! I felt lost and confused on how to navigate motherhood. Things didn’t better for me until I found the La Leche League and Mother’s Little Helper. With their help and wisdom, we finally found our way in our nursing relationship and I found my way and confidence as a mother.
I believe in the power of support and community. It is because of the women who helped me during my postpartum recovery that gave me my passion to help mothers and babies. My experiences will help me provide you and your family the emotional & physical support that will be crucial for y’all to navigate this precious and tender time of life.
What I bring is compassion, knowledge, unconditional support, experience & more experience!

What makes me different?
Experience. I have been providing postpartum care and lactation support to women for over 11 years and I know how to provide the encouraging support and guidance that moms need! I know when you are tired and need an extra hand. I know how to support you if you are feeling defeated. I know how to guide you and help you smoothly settle into life as a mom.
Personal Experience. I have 2 children who were both born in England in a midwife-led birth center. My husband deployed shortly after the births and I experienced firsthand a lack of support and loneliness, but then I eventually found my tribe. I successfully breastfed each child, but that was not without my fair share of struggles. I’ve been where you are or where you will be and I know how important support and guidance are right now.
Training. I have trained in many different aspects of postpartum doula support, advocacy, infant feeding, lactation, perinatal mental health, trauma-informed care, communication, loss, and grief. I am currently completing my doula training with DONA and working towards my IBCLC certification.
Passion. Being a doula and lactation advocate is my passion & call on my life!
